More Cool Stuff from the iPod

As I was taking another trip through the iPod this morning, Orleans jumped out at me. That got me thinking about John Hall, which led me to his post-Orleans band, the aptly named John Hall Band.

The former Democratic Congressman from New York was a favorite of mind during the late 70s and early 80s. Take a listen to these gems.

First, the title song to Hall's second album. As you'll hear, this one is a live version from the No Nukes concert.

Sticking with the No Nukes concert, here's Hall with James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Graham Nash. This one starts a bit into the song, but it is worth the listen.

And, finally, from the John Hall Band. . . . .

To be sure, there is plenty of great music being made these days, but I think it's important to keep an ear tuned to our musical history. Especially as these artists slow down, or stop performing. Keeping their music alive is a good thing.
